Chonk is one of Melbourne‘s hottest swing outfits specialising in the music of Count Basie and the Benny Goodman sextet. They were here last May and also appeared at the Eltham Jazz Food and Wine Festival this year, They bring an energy and authenticity to their music that excites both the ears and the feet. Combining the talents of some of Melbourne’s most established musicians as well as its rising stars, Chonk captures the fervour and passion of swing in the 1940‘s along with the creativity and edge of early Bebop. Chonk will have you grinning ear to ear.
The lineup is: Peter Baylor, leader, Guitar; John Hunt, Clarinet; Miro Lauritz, Vibes; Eamon McNellis, Trumpet; Howard Cairns, Bass; Luca Fraillon, Drums and Kade Brown, Keyboard.

Doors open 7:00pm, music from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.
Tickets: Adult $25, includes nibbles, tea and coffee.
