Your journey starts at from a choice of railway stations in the Sydney metropolitan area and traverses the beautiful South Coast line, heading through the Royal National Park along the way and on to the seaside town of Kiama.

Hauling The Kiama Picnic Train will be locomotive 5917, built by Baldwin (USA) in the 1950s for the NSW Government Railways.

After arrival at Kiama, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the many charms of this picturesque coastal town. Take a walk up to the famous Kiama Blowhole, relax at the Surf Beach or browse the Historic Terrace Houses.

If lunching in Kiama, please book beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Travel in our air conditioned dining car including a Morning High Tea Serving on the way to Kiama and Afternoon Tea, Cheese and Meat Platter on the way home. Includes Tea and Coffee all day.

** High Tea does not cater for any dietary requirements.

Buffet Car:

Our buffet car will be available for light snacks and drinks. We encourage passengers to bring their own picnic hampers.

BYO alcohol is allowed and can also be purchased from the Buffet Car.

Toilets:

Toilets are available in most carriages.

Mobile Phones:

There are no charging points on the heritage equipment. It is recommended that you bring an external battery charger for your mobile devices.
