Paschal Eucharist 2026 – Celebration for the Newly Initiated
About
To celebrate those who will enter the fullness of the faith this Easter, the Archdiocese of Sydney and Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP warmly invite you to gather as one family of faith and joyfully celebrate what it means to be One Body in Christ. We have much to celebrate at this year’s Paschal Eucharist: the newly baptised and received, the godparents and sponsors who have accompanied them, and the parish communities and RCIA teams who have walked with them every step of the way with great dedication and love. It is a time to give thanks for the journey that you have all taken part in.
Join us at St Mary’s Cathedral for Mass celebrated by Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP on Sunday, 19 April, at 10:30 am. Following the Mass, we will gather for fellowship and light refreshments in College Hall.
The celebration will also include a range of Catholic ministries and apostolates present to welcome the newly initiated and share opportunities for continuing the journey of faith within the life of the Church.
All newly initiated Catholics, their godparents and sponsors, families, RCIA teams, and clergy are warmly invited to come and celebrate this joyful occasion together.
Due to the hospitality provided, we ask that you and your team register by 10 April.
