The Fuel & Drought Crisis - Kevin Elmy Workshop
About
Kevin Elmy Soil WorkshopThe Fuel & Drought Crisis is here.
It's time for real Soilutions.
Fuel prices are unpredictable.
Drought is relentless.
The farmers who come out the other side in a stronger position (both mentally and financially) will be the ones who acted early.
Join Canadian soil scientist Kevin Elmy and fourth-generation farmer Mike McCosker and make these your two days to get ahead of it.
Out-of-the-box thinking.
Hands-on workshops.
Real answers for real conditions. And a community of farmers ready to tackle this together.
What you'll take home:
- Make your own on-farm fertiliser — at scale
- Find your fuel savings and cut your input costs — starting now
- Drought-proofing strategies that have stood the test of time
- Assess your own soil, on your own property — no consultant needed
- Practical, proven strategies for building healthy, resilient soils
Bring your ideas. Bring your neighbours. Be part of the Soilution.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The fuel and drought crisis has every farmer asking hard questions. This workshop was built to answer them.
Over two days, you'll go deep into what healthy soil really is — and why it may be the most powerful tool you have against rising costs, unreliable rain, and an uncertain future.
Whether you're a small-scale producer, a new landholder, or an established farmer looking for a smarter way forward, this is the workshop for you.
WE'LL COVER
* Soil health - what it really is and how to recognise it on your own property
* Measuring soil health: field-based analysis and assessment tools
* Biological and physical processes that drive fertile, functional soils
* Fertiliser management for soil health — including how to make your own at scale
* Diagnosing your farm's biggest challenges — Kevin will coach participants through practical, tailored approaches to improving soil health
* How to incorporate and manage livestock to turbocharge soil building
* Cover cropping strategies, designing cover crop blends, and how functional plant diversity can dramatically boost soil health
YOUR SPEAKERS
Kevin Elmy is a third-generation Canadian farmer, agronomist, cover cropping specialist and author. Over decades of hands-on farming, Kevin has developed and refined practical systems that harness the power of soil health to reduce input dependency - cutting the need for synthetic fertiliser and expensive fuel without compromising results.
Mike McCosker is a fourth-generation farmer, founder of Carbon8 and a passionate advocate for regenerative agriculture. At this workshop Mike will get hands-on - walking you through how to make your own fertiliser at scale, cut out the middleman, and slash input costs. He'll also be sharing how Verified RegenGrown is bringing real credibility and market recognition to regenerative farmers across Australia.
