ELIGIBILITY
Employees may nominate family or close friends to attend a Family Day if they fulfil the following criteria:

Rio Tinto employees with a minimum of 12 months continuous service at the nominated site may nominate family or close friends to visit for the day.

Long term contractors with a minimum of 12 months’ continuous service at the nominated site may nominate family or close friends to visit for the day.

Attendance frequency is based on the size of the site: Sites with more than 600 personnel: eligible to attend once every four years.

You must be on RnR for the date you are registering for.
SELECTION METHOD

Employees are permitted to bring 3 guests. Some exceptions may apply if you have more than 3 dependent children. Please contact your site Divisional Secretary and/or Events Organiser for further information.

The nomination form is to list all names of personnel who wish to travel to site. The relationship to employee is to be stated on the nomination form i.e. spouse, son, friend etc. If children (under the age of 18) are nominated, their ages must be stated on the nomination form.

Children will be permitted for nomination if they are 5 years or above, and anyone under the age of 18 must be always escorted by a guardian.

All nominations will to go into a draw to be drawn lottery style.

Successfully nominated people will receive a confirmation email and an acceptance form. The acceptance form must be signed agreeing that guests will abide by site rules and regulations.

The due date for nominations will be indicated clearly on the nomination form and posters around site. Time frames will allow a minimal amount of time to adjust numbers if people decline the visit, so late applications will not be accepted.

If nominated guests cannot make the visit due to other commitments, but still wish to attend, they may be entered into the draw for future Family Days. Any no shows on the day will not be considered for any future draws.

Regional and interstate flyers are encouraged to participate in the draw, however, no flights will be supplied for employees or guests. Any interstate or regional personnel that are selected from the draw will be provided with one night’s accommodation in Perth either on the night prior to traveling to site or on the day.
FAMILY DAY SITE STANDARDS

Closed-in shoes must be worn at all times.

Casual clothes – a long sleeved collared shirt and long pants are compulsory.

Jewellery permitted as per normal site standards.

No checked baggage will be permitted on flights.

Guests are to supply their own sun hats.
-
PPE will be provided by Rio Tinto as required.

All nominated guests must abide by site rules and regulations. Employees are to ensure their guests are following site rules and regulations on the day.
