Red Cross Pillowcase Workshop
School holiday activity for ages 6-10 years.
Delivered by Red Cross volunteers, the pillowcase workshop helps children learn how to be calm in emergencies, reduce their real and imagined fears, and assist in their family’s emergency preparation.
Each child will decorate a pillowcase to take home to start their own personal emergency kit.
Following the recent bush fires, this workshop was arranged to help support children in our local area to create a pillowcase that they can use in case of emergencies to pack their belongings into to evacuate safely, confidently and efficiently. This workshop aims to promote feelings of safety and preparedness in you child in case of future emergencies. This activity is free, but bookings are kindly requested.
This activity is free, but bookings are required and caregivers are asked to remain in the library for the duration of the event.
