Join us as we celebrate the launch of The Monash Herald, a new local newspaper dedicated to telling the stories that shape our community.The Monash Herald began with a simple observation: in a city full of stories, many of them were going untold. As locals who live the day-to-day life of Monash — the school runs, the bustling markets, the parks and playgrounds, the small businesses and community events — we realised that the moments that truly define our neighbourhoods weren’t always being captured or shared.
So we decided to change that.
What started as countless conversations of “someone should really be reporting on this” has grown into a publication built on local commitment and community pride. The Monash Herald isn’t backed by distant newsrooms or large media corporations. Instead, it is powered by people who care deeply about this place — its diversity, its culture, its volunteers, and the thousands of stories unfolding here every day.
This special brunch marks the beginning of that journey. It is an opportunity to gather with community leaders, residents, businesses, and supporters to celebrate the launch of a publication created for Monash, by Monash.
Because our city deserves a voice that feels like home.
