This page is for uniformed members of 1st Woodend Scout Group to confirm their participation in the ANZAC Day March through Woodend on Saturday 25 April 2026.All uniformed youth and adult members are invited to march with their respective sections as we honour this important occasion.
KEY INFORMATION
* Date: Saturday 25th April 2026
* Arrival Time: Please arrive at 11:15am outside the ‘Double 8’ Chinese restaurant on High Street. The march will begin promptly at 11:30am.
* What to wear: Full scout uniform, including tightly rolled scarf.
* Finish time: The event will conclude at approximately 12:45pm at the Woodend RSL on Anslow Street, following the ceremony.
Parents resume responsibility/supervision for their youth at the conclusion of the ceremony.
YOUTH VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
We are seeking volunteers for several important roles during the march and ceremony:
* Flag Bearers: One member from each section to carry their unit flag during the march to the RSL.
* Flag Orderlies: The RSL has requested three uniformed members to assist with raising and lowering the flags during the ceremony. Volunteers are sought from the Scout, Venturer, and Rover sections.
* Wreath Layers: We are also seeking one Joey and one Cub to lay the wreath on behalf of the 1st Woodend Scout Group.
