Join us for a day dedicated to horse health, knowledge, and connection at the Equine Health Hub.

This unique event brings together a collection of industry professionals presenting on a range of equine wellness topics. Sit back, relax, and soak up a full day of informative presentations designed to help you better understand and care for your horse.

Attend the entire day or simply come along for one or two presentations that interest you most.

After each session, you'll also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with presenters, ask questions, discuss your horse's health, and arrange bookings or further consultations.

Whether you're looking to learn something new , deepen your knowledge, or connect directly with experienced professionals, the Equine Wellness Hub is the perfect place to do it.

We have 7 fabulous presenters covering a wide spectrum of equine wellness kicking off at 9am, lunch provided at 12.30 and our last speaker finishing at 4.00pm just in time for you to go home and feed up.
It's fantastic value for all attendees - for $20 entry you can come for the whole day or pick and choose the speakers you would like to see. Entry fee includes lunch if you are attending over lunchtime.

9.00am DEBBIE KING - RSPCA WA
Debbie King is the Animal Welfare Policy Research Officer at RSPCA Western Australia. In this role, Debbie is responsible for reviewing animal welfare science and evidence to inform RSPCA WA's decisions, campaigns and advocacy. She works with government, industry and RSPCA WA staff to develop strategies that prevent cruelty and improve welfare standards for animals across Western Australia and represents WA in national policy development and review.
Prior to joining RSPCA WA, Debbie also worked in racing welfare, with a focus on post-racing transition and retirement programs such as Off the Track.
At the Equine Wellness Hub, Debbie will be presenting on equine welfare and the Five Domains of animal welfare, WA's new Standards and Guidelines for Horse Health and Welfare, and how these fit within WA's current animal welfare legislative framework

9.30am CLARE JOHANSEN - EQUINE PODIOTHERAPIST
Clare will be talking about how the hoof reflects what’s happening in the rest of the horse, from movement and loading patterns to diet, management and long-term soundness.
Understanding what the hoof is telling us can make a huge difference to how we support our horses, whether they’re performance horses or simply much-loved partners.

10.30am BETH KING SADDLE FITTER - SADDLE SOLUTIONS
Headed up by independent saddle fitter Beth King, Saddle Solutions is a truly independent saddle fitting service which also offers a bespoke range of saddlery and accessories designed for the well-being of the horse. As a competitive rider herself, Beth understands how important a well-fitting saddle and balanced and effective rider position is. Her philosophy is always ‘horse first’ and includes working with the rider and the horse’s team including body workers and physios, vets, and farriers.  
Beth's interactive talk will cover the fundamentals of saddle fitting, equine anatomy, different trees, the use of panels, do you need fancy girths and saddle pads and tips for riding position and would love to answer your questions.

11.30am MARTIN DOLINSCHEK - Equine Dentist -WAVED
Dr Martin Dolinschek BVMS MANZCVSc.( Eq Dent ) is one of Perth's leading Veterinary Equine Dentists with more than 22 years of experience in dentistry.
Martin is a regular and entertaining presenter on all things equine dentisty and will be offering insight and practical knowledge that will benefit every horse owner.

1.00pm JILL DAVIES "FEED YOUR STEED"
Equine Diets Based on Science
Qualified Independent Equine Nutritional Advice for horses from performance, broodmares, young horses, performance horses to retirees. The do's the don'ts and the latest independent advice.

2.00pm MG VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY
Join Maddison Georgiades, founder of MG Veterinary Physiotherapy, for an informative talk on the role of veterinary physiotherapy in equine health, rehabilitation and performance. Maddison is a chartered human and veterinary physiotherapist who holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool and has extensive experience working with horses across both Australia and overseas. In this presentation, Maddison will discuss what veterinary physiotherapy involves, how it fits within the wider equine multidisciplinary team, and the important role physiotherapy plays in rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance management. She will also provide insight into what a typical physiotherapy assessment looks like and share common signs that indicate when a horse may benefit from physiotherapy support.

3.00pm DR Evita BUSSCHERS OR DR VALERIE DE BOER
Murdoch Vet Hospital- Maintaining Performance Horses
This talk will explore the parallels between human athletic management and the care of the high performance dressage horse. We will begin by considering the well-established principles that guide human athletes: structured health monitoring, tailored training loads, targeted recovery strategies, and multidisciplinary support and then apply these concepts to equine athletes. Emphasis will be placed on the value on identifying issues early to prevent minor concerns from becoming career limiting injuries.
