Join us at The Cape Community Farm for a hands-on Introduction to Horticulture Program facilitated by our resident farmer and qualified horticulture trainer, a great pathway to accredited training for those looking to go further.This practical, learn-by-doing course introduces participants to essential gardening and horticulture skills including:
• Soil health and working with living soils
• Planting trees, shrubs and productive plants
• Pruning and plant care
• Seed and vegetative propagation
• Potting and nursery skills
• Irrigation fundamentals
• Sustainable garden and landscape management
Participants will build confidence and practical skills that can be applied in home gardens, community gardens, farms, or entry-level horticulture work.
