
100th Anniversary Murrabit Bridge over Murray River
The Murrabit community with be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Murrabit Bridge over the Murray River with activities across the weekend of July 4 and 5, 2026.
The whole family is invited to join in the celebrations of this historic local icon and Murrabit & District history.
Saturday, 4 July - Murrabit Market featuring photographic displays on early history of Murrabit
Sunday, 5 July - Program includes:
9.30am - 10am Registration at Busy Bees of Murrabit (gift shop) Gonn Avenue, Murrabit. Murrabit historical publications and merchandise for sale. Map available on registration.
From 9.30am Morning Tea available from Murrabit Lions Park. Sheave Wheel and Historic Gates display, Murrabit Railway Precinct. Self Walk of historic sties and Paul Oswin art trail.
11am - 12noon - Unveiling event, storytelling and celebration at Miss Keats Picnic Park, Murrabit Bridge.
12.30pm Soup & Roll lunch at Murrabit Hall, followed by speeches, cake cutting and cuppa, viewing of historic displays, vintage cars.
2pm Event concludes
Cost: Adults $15, Families $40, children under 5 free
