Building self-awareness – understanding how you currently approach difficult interactions
Planning where you are headed – what is negotiable / not negotiable, what is to be achieved
Adopting a structure approach to influencing – SBI and AID models of feedback
Module 2: Developing Influential Communications
Developing empathy through improved listening and questioning capability
Dealing with sensitive and complex interactions – holding difficult conversations
Making and denying requests constructively, clearly, and in a solution focused manner
Saying no effectively to convey expectations and firmly clarify boundaries and expectations
Matching body language, tone, and word choice to convey a confident and consistent
communication profile
Removing barriers and obstacles that negatively impact effective influencing.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will develop the skills to:
Communicate with a heightened degree of self-awareness to become an expert influencer
Demonstrate assertive communication techniques founded on a collaborative perspective
Clearly articulate expectations, needs, and required outcome in a constructive manner.
