ContentModule 1: Preparing for the Interview
Developing awareness of biases and stereotypes that must be actively removed and countered
to implement robust and effective recruitment processes
Clarifying key role requirements, tasks, and responsibilities to underpin a correctly targeted and
consistent process
Consideration of behavioural interview questions that are aligned to key role requirements and
that will support the correct assessment of candidate suitability.
Module 2: Conducting the Interview
Gathering responses to interview questions using the Problem, Action, Result structure
Developing candidate rapport to assist the candidate best demonstrate their skills and
experiences
Developing probing and follow up questioning techniques to push past highly rehearsed or
disingenuousness responses to ensure true candidate capability is assessed as best as
possible
Delivering a behavioural interview process that is consistent from interviewer to interviewer and
from candidate to candidate.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will develop the skills to:
Correctly identify those traits that will underpin role success so that only relevant and insightful
data is collected to support correct recruitment decisions
Implement an impactful behavioural interview that pushes past the rehearsed response to
assess candidate suitability more effectively.
