Wild Easter Workshop
Celebrate GOOD FORAGING FRIDAY with us at Foragers Family Farm with a Wild Easter Workshop. Every year on Good Friday our family's tradition is to gather ingredients for our Easter Feaster to celebrate Autumn and the beginning of Mushroom season.
Here in Australia Autumn is a time of rebirth in the soil after the long dry Summer and this year it's a special celebration after the Bushfires in January destroyed so many homes and bush in our little town.
So this year we are sharing our joy and celebration rituals with you!
Join us in the farm apothecary kitchen to learn how to use plants and bark to naturally dye eggs - fresh from the ducks, chooks and guinea fowl.
Wander our garden and pick your own dye plants, and make your own custom dyed eggs to honour the change of season.
Best of all make your own Bunya Nut chocolates. Cooked on our vintage wood fire stove Black Betty for a truly unique and authentic family farm experience like no other.
Included in the workshop is Piglet, Duck & Alpaca feeding
Only a few places have been made available to keep this special event cozy and genuine.
Please note this is a working sustainable farm, we don't aim to be Instagram pretty. Our animals rule around here, it's raw, real and often muddy so gumboots are usually a good idea :)
Location: Foragers Family Farm Harcourt - address will be sent upon ticket purchase for privacy reasons.
Look for the big red mushroom sign out the front- drive in and park- workshop kitchen is at the back of the farm. Any issues locating us please give us a call on 0411434705
