District ANZAC Cub Sleepover
About
2026 ANZAC Sleepover and Dawn Ceremony. Each year the Kalamunda District Cub Scouts hold an overnight sleepover and attend the Dawn Service to show our support for those who have committed themselves to protect Australia and our way of life. Similarly to attending the march it is part of 'do my duty' in our Cub Scout Promise and Law. Attendance at this event also counts towards the 'Their Service, Our Heritage' badge. A light supper and Breakfast are provided. Parents may also come back to Walliston Scout Hall for breakfast following the Dawn Service. Cubs will sleepover in the hall.
We will do a number of activities relevant to the ANZAC theme including:
-Anzac story
-making a wreath
-cooking Anzac biscuits
-attendance at dawn service
-a gunfire breakfast back at Walliston Hall after dawn service
Some parent support is required:
- transport the cubs to and from dawn service - this involves being at Walliston Hall at 5:20am, dropping cubs and leader to walk to dawn service, return at end. If you can help please let us know by email.
