Join us for an informative and hands-on Dog First Aid Course, proudly hosted by the Border Collie Club of South Australia and presented by Lis Brady.Lis is a highly experienced professional with over 35 years in the animal industry. She is a qualified veterinary nurse, dog behavioural trainer, and human trainer and assessor, bringing a wealth of practical knowledge and real-world experience to this course.
This session is designed to give dog owners the confidence and skills to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Topics covered include:
Dog CPR
Choking response
Poisoning
Snake bites
Major trauma and injuries
Lacerations and wound care
Safe handling techniques (including muzzling)
Bandaging
Assessing vital signs
Please note: Attendees are not required to bring their own dogs. Practical components will be conducted using training models (“fake” dogs), along with a small number of live demo dogs provided by the presenter.
