Please join us for our May Gathering in the Rosewood Library.Thursday 28 May, from 10:30am
Our topic for May is The Rosewood Show. Did you know it turns 150 next year? We invite those attending to share their memories of the show over the years. What did you do to prepare for the show? What were your favourite side shows, rides, food, events, exhibits? Do you have any stories to share? Panellists will inlcude Pat and Bernie Lenihan and we are looking for more to join them. Audience particpation invited.
Mix and mingle over a cuppa, share your passion for history with others.
Bring something for Show and Tell. This is your chance to share historical photos, articles, new discoveries, useful resources, any research you’ve been working on. We would be particularly interested in anything you have on the Rosewood Show.
It helps out notetakers if you could jot down on a piece of paper a list of any items you bring, any stories relating to them, and include you name, email address and phone number.
A member of the Rosewood Scrub Historical Association will be attending and bringing some of their books for sale, including the mining book that was so popular at last Gathering and their Centenary Booklet Rosewood A&H Show 1877 - 1977.
Members are welcome to bring a plate to share for morning tea at 10:30 and an optional $3 donation for Rosewood History Group.
New members and visitors are welcome.
