Albies Alumni & Friends are pleased to be partnering with the ArmidaleJockey Club to sponsor the upcoming Race Day to be held on Sunday March
29th at the magnificent Armidale
Racecourse.
The event will be a 7 Race Program
with full TAB coverage with all sports and betting agencies being broadcast on
Sky Channel and Thoroughbred Central
The Race Day has been running for over 25 years now and has become the most well-attended Race Meeting on the Armidale Jockey Club’s Racing Calendar
The original Race Day initiative came about in 1999 when several
long-standing Senior Common Room Members (SCR) were considering new
ways to be able to fundraise and increase the SCR’s capacity to give back to the College.
Funds raised will be given to the College to be used for the awarding of St. Albert’s College Bursaries which are aimed at enabling students from a diverse range of backgrounds, locations and financial
situations, to have the opportunity to enjoy ‘The Albie’s Experience’
