Picasso at the Lapin Agile
About
Friday & Saturday evening sessions at 7:30 pm Sunday matinees at 2:30 PMWritten by Steve Martin and Directed by Margaret Sanft, the play is set in a bar in Paris and is a light-hearted look at what would have transpired if Einstein and Picasso had ever met. There is no record that they ever did!
However, it would have been an amazing comparison between science and art. The characters explore their varied lives and look towards what the future will look like when viewed from the year 1904. The author, Steve Martin, an American Comedian famous for his memorable films over the years, has written an inciteful and entertaining play which will amuse and draw audiences into the feel of a bar in Paris during that era. The Lapin Agile is a real bar and still exists to this day. There will be some entertaining special effects plus laughter and that special "ooh la la " feeling that you only get in France.
