Child Sexual Offending Awareness
Increasing the safety of children requires understanding the risks posed by a small but significant group of individuals motivated to cause harm. Recent reviews in Victoria and Queensland highlight the importance of understanding sexual offending to develop effective risk management strategies.
Drawing on decades of forensic psychological research, this workshop provides evidence-based approaches to managing sexually harmful behaviours. Delivered by SALTIE, it is informed by direct practice experience and focuses on practical “what works” strategies. Open and respectful conversations about sexual harm are essential to promoting child safety.
Learning outcomes include:
• Increased awareness of factors contributing to sexual offending
• Understanding how offending occurs within organisations and groups
• Strategies to manage risk and improve child safety
Suitable for:
