The Jews of Morocco
About:
4 Week Learning Series with Paul Forgasz
About the Series:
King Hussein II, who ruled Morocco from 1961-1999, captured the country’s essence and complexity, likening it to a desert palm: “rooted in Africa, watered by Islam, and rustled by the winds of Europe.” In this short course we will explore the history, tradition, and culture of Jewish Morocco, where Jews absorbed a fascinating meeting place of East and West.
