An afternoon of great Italian opera with Trio Sole. You don’t need a ticket to Milan to experience great opera.Trio Sole - soprano Vanessa West, Neapolitan tenor Raffaele Pierno and pianist Janet Brewer - brings the passion, drama and beauty of Italy’s most iconic operas to the Sunshine Coast for one special afternoon. Featuring music from La Bohème, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Cavalleria Rusticana and La Traviata, this program is built around the moments audiences love most - the great arias and duets that have defined opera for generations. At its heart are semi-staged excerpts from La Bohème and La Traviata - offering more than a concert, and hosted by much-loved local artist Margaret Taylor OAM, this performance has been designed as a genuine cultural event for the Maleny community.
Champagne on arrival sets an elegant, celebratory tone, followed by tea, coffee and a selection of sweets at interval (gold coin donation).
An afternoon designed to feel like a La Scala gala in Milano - right here in Maleny.
