Drawing on over 15 years of industry experience and her work alongside clinical specialists, Michelle will share her knowledge around neurodiversity and all the things she has learnt that make learning easier and more fun for these children and in turn easier and more fun for teacher's. This session will explore practical approaches to communication, behaviour support and adapting teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of every child in your class.

ABOUT MICHELLE:
With over 15 years of experience in the aquatic industry, Michelle Houghton has built a strong career across a range of operational and leadership roles. Since August 2022, Michelle has served as Programs and Quality Manager at Rainbow Club, following previous management positions with BlueFit and Belgravia Leisure.
In this role, Michelle leads the quality and delivery of Rainbow Club’s programs, overseeing a large workforce of teachers and ensuring they are equipped with the training, resources and support needed to excel. Her work focuses on continuously enhancing program development to meet the evolving needs of members and the broader aquatic industry. Collaborating closely with clinical specialists, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and behaviour support practitioners, Michelle integrates evidence-based insights into specialised training for instructors. Based on the NSW South Coast, Michelle balances her professional commitments with family life by the coast.
