A special meeting of musical voices from opposite sides of the globe, this performance brings together a renowned Swedish jazz drummer and educator with faculty from the Elder Conservatorium. Rooted in the rich traditions of Scandinavian jazz while embracing the distinctive vitality of the Australian scene, the ensemble explores a shared language of improvisation, interaction, and creative exchange.
Blending original compositions, reimagined standards, and spontaneous musical dialogue, the group creates a space where Nordic lyricism meets the rhythmic drive and openness of contemporary Australian jazz.
