Basic Hospital Admission and Triage

This introductory training session is designed to equip volunteers with the essential skills needed for wildlife hospital intake and triage at Darling Range Wildlife Shelter.Participants will learn how to confidently handle incoming phone calls, gather critical information for admissions, and coordinate safe and appropriate animal transfers. The session will also cover how to perform a basic initial assessment of wildlife patients, including identifying key signs of stress, injury, and urgency of care.
This course is ideal for new and existing volunteers looking to build confidence in frontline response and ensure animals receive timely and appropriate support from the moment they enter care.
