ONE ACTS 2026
Presented by Irish Theatre Players, Playlovers and GRADS Theatre Company.
Three One Act Plays performing at Stirling Theatre in Innaloo.
"THE YALTA GAME" by Brian Friel
Presented by Irish Theatre Players
Directed by Siobhan O'Gara and Caroline McDonnell
Inspired by a short story by Anton Chekhov, this intimate two-hander follows two married strangers who meet while on holiday. What begins as polite conversation grows into something deeper and more dangerous.
"DRAWING THE LINE"
Presented by Playlovers
Written and Directed by Suzannah Churchman
After crashing her car into her ex-husband's house, acclaimed but self-destructive artist Nadia Richards avoids jail time by teaching art in a women's prison. What starts as reluctant community service becomes something far more complicated. A darkly comic, sharp and ultimately moving ensemble piece about ego, redemption and the power of creativity.
"SURE THING" by David Ives
Presented by GRADS Theatre Company
Directed by Toni Petani
A man meets a woman in a café. He opens with a casual line. It goes badly. A bell rings. The moment resets.
Each time the bell sounds, the conversation rewinds and restarts, allowing them to edit what they've just said.
What unfolds is a fast, witty exploration of how fragile connection can be and how easily it can be derailed by ego, timing or one wrong word.
