Behind Closed Doors- Recognising Domestic & Family Violence
About
Behind Closed Doors- Recognising Domestic and Family Violence and Coercive Control in Our CommunityJoin us for an important and informative session with Yvette Vignando, Chief Executive of North Shore–based domestic and family violence charity Mary’s House Services.
Yvette will provide insight into what is happening in communities like Mosman, with a focus on coercive control, technology-facilitated abuse, and domestic violence. Through a seniors-focused lens, she will share real-life case studies, help identify warning signs, and outline where to seek support.
Domestic and family violence remains a significant societal issue, accounting for approximately 60% of NSW Police workload. This session offers a valuable opportunity to better understand the issue and how we can respond as a community.
A Q&A session and light refreshments will follow the presentation.
