Well, what are you doing when you do Awareness Through Movement lessons? Do you know?
Philosopher and historian, martial artist and professional dancer, cognitive scientist and somatic educator, Zoran creatively draws on an eclectic background to meet the unique interests of each person and group he teaches.

1pm Regaining Balance to Build Resilience with Ruth Frommer
In today’s fast-paced world, daily pressures can quietly pull us out of balance — physically,
emotionally, and mentally. Stress shows up not only in our thoughts, but also in our posture,
breathing, movement, and nervous system responses. Over time, this can leave us feeling tense,
reactive, fatigued, or disconnected from ourselves.
This short introduction to the Feldenkrais Method explores how greater awareness of movement
and habitual patterns can help us restore balance and resilience.
When we regain balance in our body, we often find greater emotional steadiness, clarity of thought
and increased ability to adapt to life’s challenges.
Resilience is not about pushing harder — it is about learning how to recover, recalibrate, and
reconnect with ourselves in the midst of change and stress.
Ruth Frommer is an Assistant Feldenkrais Trainer and Aikido Instructor (6th Dan Black Belt)
Ruth’s private practice consists of individual sessions, online classes and workshops. Ruth also
conducts continuing education courses for practitioners and teaches in Feldenkrais Training Programs.

Story Arc - The Narrative of the Body is a 90 minute combination of creative reflection, interaction with pens and paper, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement and sound journeying.
Story Arc presents the body as a living narrative, a time-machine carrying personal stories in our bodies. It outlines four intertwined dimensions—the kinaesthetic story of how force flows and blocks within habitual patterns, the somatic story of slowed internal inquiry, the external story of expressing these arcs through movement and space, and the conjunction where inner exploration, external expression, and somatic awareness converge to re-write the personal story.
Drawing on Feldenkrais, free dance, internal martial arts, flow states, and bio-mechanical principles, it offers a holistic framework for deepening kinaesthetic literacy.
Presenter is Simon Slieker, Australian Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and celebrated electronic music artist and DJ.
Bookings are required for Functional Integration Sessions and are limited to one per person. If taking part in a class you're invited to bring your own mat or large towel/blanket to lie on, and your own water bottle. For the Classes and Functional Integration sessions please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. As it may get a little chilly, you may like to wear some layers.
This event is brought to you by The Australian Feldenkrais Guild Inc (AFG) which is a non-profit membership organisation established to promote and advance the Feldenkrais Method® in Australia, to verify and maintain training standards, and to represent its members in liaison with Feldenkrais Guilds throughout the world.

About the Method
The Feldenkrais Method® (Feldenkrais) is a universal method for improving human life through better movement, sensation, posture and breathing.
From early childhood to advanced age, thousands of Australians are using Feldenkrais every day to address their problems and to reach their fullest potential.
Neuroplasticity is central to the effectiveness of the Feldenkrais Method. Trained practitioners use touch, movement, guided imagery and mindful body awareness to stimulate the brain to make useful and lasting improvements to movement and posture.
With professional guidance from a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, these improvements can be directed towards assisting problems like pain, injuries and neurological issues, as well as assisting peak performance in sports and the performing arts.
Besides these specific benefits, people often find that improving their movement and posture improves their overall health and well-being, leading to better attention, thinking ability, emotional resilience, coordination, balance, and easier breathing.
Feldenkrais Practitioners deliver two types of movement lessons.
In Awareness Through Movement® (ATM), a practitioner will guide you through a planned sequence of movement explorations. You will be encouraged to pay close attention to the sensations of each movement. You will also be encouraged to practice the movements very gently and slowly, ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable throughout.
In Functional Integration® (FI), you will lie or sit, comfortably clothed, on a low padded table. Your practitioner will physically guide your body through safe, effortless movement, and will use precise touch to bring unfamiliar parts of your body into awareness.
