About
A weekend intensive with Ustadh Mohammad al Kayani, designed to build clarity, conviction, and a deeper reading of the Qur’an. 2 cities. One transformative journey.“When My servants ask you about Me, I am near. I answer the call of the one who calls upon Me.”
(Qur’an 2:186)
This verse sits at the heart of the surah’s theme: a people shaped by closeness to their Lord, responding to guidance with trust and devotion.
Melbourne Weekend Intensive:
Days: Saturday 4 April 2026 & Sunday 5 April 2026
Time: 10am - 4pm
Venue: University of Melbourne
Surah al-Baqarah shapes how a believer understands the world, themselves, and their relationship with Allah. Its themes build the mindset of a community anchored in faith, discipline, and purpose.
During this intensive, students will learn:
- The overall structure of the surah and how each section connects to the next.
- Key lessons from its major narratives, including the story of Adam, the trials of Bani Isra’eel, and the encounter of Dawud and Jalut.
- How every surah has a central spirit, and how the “soul” of Surah al-Baqarah guides the formation of a new civilisation grounded in obedience to Allah.
This is not a line-by-line tafsir. It is a guided journey that reveals how the surah shapes a believer’s thinking, habits, and approach to life.
