This open-session style class is designed for those who already have a foundation in sewing but are looking for professional guidance to tackle more complex techniques or perfect a tricky fit.Whether you are working from a commercial pattern or drafting your own, you will have access to expert advice on garment construction, fit adjustments, and pattern making to ensure your finished piece is exactly what you envisioned.
What to Expect
Over five weeks on Monday afternoon 1-3pm, starting April 20th (April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18)
Tailored Support: Receive one-on-one troubleshooting for your specific project.
Pattern Making Guidance: Help with altering patterns or understanding complex instructions.
Construction Tips: Learn professional finishes and efficient assembly methods.
Community Atmosphere: Work alongside fellow makers in a creative, focused space.
Requirements & What to Bring
This is a BYO (Bring Your Own) session. To make the most of the time, please ensure you bring:
Your Sewing Machine (in good working order).
Fabric and Notions (thread, zips, buttons, etc.).
Cutting Tools (scissors, rotary cutters, pins).
Your Project (either already cut out or ready to be drafted).
Note: This session is best suited for those with intermediate sewing experience. You should be comfortable threading your machine and performing basic stitches independently.
