Emma Donovan @ Berninneit
Emma Donovan
Sunday 12 July | 6:30pm
Berninneit, Cowes
---
Born into the renowned Donovan musical family, First Nations’ singer, Emma began singing at just seven years old, touring with her uncle’s band and absorbing a deep, living tradition of music-making. Since then, she’s created powerful solo works and collaborations and her presence on stages across the country feel both intimate and expansive at once.
Her voice carries melody and from her early days as a founding member of Stiff Gins to her solo releases and performances with the Black Arm Band, Emma’s music is grounded in soul, country, lineage and storytelling.
Her voice is unmistakable, we cannot wait to hear her at Berninneit! Her warm, expressive, and deeply connected songs will lift the acoustics in the theatre.
Over the years, she has stood alongside some of Australia’s most respected artists, including Archie Roach, Ruby Hunter and Paul Kelly, while always maintaining a sound and presence entirely her own.
Gather your friends for night only at Berninneit and enjoy your chance to sit with music that is rich with history, heart, and quiet power and to experience an artist whose connection to her craft is as moving as the songs themselves.
