Australian-born international violinist Linda Gilbert invites YOU to take part in a violin masterclass for violin students of all ages and levels! Perfect for performance practice in a supportive environment! Early registration is recommended as places are limited!Registration deadline 11PM April 24, 2026. Order of participants will be decided by the organiser and notified prior to May 3, 2026.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Australian-born violinist, Linda Gilbert, is an international soloist, chamber musician and violin educator.
Ms. Gilbert gave her first concert performance at the age of 6, which was followed a few years later by AMEB diplomas A.Mus.A with High Distinction and L.Mus.A as well as notable competition
success in Australia and Europe, including the prestigious Roma Liggins Scholarship, three-
time winner of City of Hobart Open Instrumental Recital and Jan Sedivka Memorial Award, 1st Prizewinner in the Wenkart
Foundation's Junior Violin Award and Second Prize at Italy's Euterpe International Music Competition. Currently Linda
performs extensively in Australia and internationally, having graduated from Tchaikovsky State Conservatory,
Moscow (class of Prof. M.V. Fedotov). She has performed concert tours in collaboration with notable concert
artists in Australia, Russia, Germany and Austria. Plans for the 2026-2027 season include concerts in Asia, UK and USA.
As a passionate, inspiring and highly- experienced violin educator since 2007, Ms. Gilbert is highly
sought-after in Australia for her teaching expertise. Ms. Gilbert has worked as a violin educator in Australian
private and state schools, as well as presented masterclasses at multicultural education centres.
Ms. Gilbert's own class of current and former students have achieved High Distinction in NSW HSC and AMEB violin performance examinations as well as prizes in a range of competitions, scholarships and major awards.
Ms. Gilbert is currently working on future pedagogical projects to include masterclasses for young students in
UK, USA, Europe and Asia as well as further concert performance tours and recording projects.
