Canberra Tamil Association warmly invites you to celebrate Tamil New Year with us at our community event “சித்திரை சந்திப்பு”.Event details are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 18 April
Time: 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Venue: Canberra Seniors Centre 10 Watson Street, Turner ACT 2612.
This will be a joyful day filled with fun activities, food, sweets, and time to connect with our community.
CTA will be providing lunch for everyone. However, we kindly ask each family to bring one snack or sweet of your choice to share with fellow members, so we can enjoy a lovely variety together.
Special activity for children
We would love to see our children take part in a fun and cultural activity:
- Children are encouraged to dress up as a character of their choice
(cultural and traditional characters are especially encouraged)
Each child can give a short speech introducing their character
- The best dressed child will receive a small gift as appreciation
This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to express creativity and learn about culture in a fun way.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to celebrate Tamil New Year together as a community.
