Westword Writing Workshop for Adults at Auburn Library

WestWord's Living Stories Writing WorkshopWestWords and WestLit Libraries, as part of the 2026 Living Stories Western Sydney Writing Prize, are offering free 90-minute creative writing workshops. These workshops are intended to help writers gain confidence and skills in their creative writing, especially with such a large-scale writing prize just around the corner.
Bookings are essential and will open one week prior at 9am.
This workshop will be run by Adam Byatt. Adam is a high school English teacher cataloguing the minutiae and detritus of life on Post It Notes as potential story ideas and sticking them on the fridge door. He was the winner of Living Stories 2022 and winner of the Blacktown Mayoral Creative Writing Prize 2022-2024. Adam has had stories published in ZineWest, MountedARI Luft Anthology, Flash Fiction Magazine and The School Magazine.
