Learn Nunofelting with Belle
About
Nuno felting is a wet felting technique where you felt a fine layer of wool into fabric. In this case, hand dyed ultrafine merino into hand dyed silk chiffon. It makes a light weight, but warm textile. And with Belle’s expert guidance you will learn how to make a beautiful nunofelt scarf.Belle has 25 years experience with wet-felting and teaching others. She will patiently take you step by step through this process so you leave with a beautiful scarf and the knowledge to make more at home.
Who is the workshop for?
THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR PEOPLE WITH NO EXPERIENCE IN FELTING but is also great for those who have made felt before, because there a many ways to make nunofelt and Belle’s way could be different to how you’ve learnt before. The day will run from 9.30 to 4.00 and these workshops are always a fun day out with like minded creative people. It is only for adults but you can share the skills you learn with your children when you get home.
The exchange
I know that money is tight at the moment so I have done my best to keep the fee down. It covers the hand dyed silk, the hand dyed ultrafine merino (so so soft) and use of all the other tools and materials we need. It also covers tea, coffee and biscuits and Belle’s tuition fee. So the only extra cost you have is getting to the venue and bringing your own lunch.
