About

Nuno felting is a wet felting technique where you felt a fine layer of wool into fabric. It makes a light weight, but warm textile. And with Belle’s expert guidance you will learn how to make a beautiful nunofelt jacket felting the jacket in one piece…. Yes the seams are felted together. This is not a tight fitted jacket, it is a loose fitting, but we can talk about things you might do in future to make it more shaped. Once you know the process you can do all kinds of things. When you make your booking I will be in touch to find out what colour theme you would like and I’ll dye the wool and the fabric to suit.

This workshop runs over 2 consecutive Saturdays, 9.00 to 4.30 each day.
Saturday 16th May and Saturday 23rd May 2026 and you will need to attend both days.

Belle has 25 years experience with wet-felting and teaching others. She will patiently take you step by step through this process so by the end of the 2 days you will have a nunofelt jacket.

The exchange
I know that money is tight at the moment so I have done my best to keep the fee down. It covers the hand dyed cotton gauze, the hand dyed fine merino and use of all the other tools and materials we need. It also covers tea, coffee and biscuits and Belle’s tuition fee. So the only extra cost you have is getting to the venue and bringing your own lunch.
