Session Two: Reading Assessment for Students in Years 3-6The Maroondah Network Literacy Leader CoP is open to all primary school literacy leaders and teachers of literacy.
Based on feedback from Session One, the Term Two CoP will focus on reading assessment for students have ‘cracked the code’ and are beginning to read independently. The shift away from traditional assessment tools has found most schools exploring their options for benchmark reading assessments. As a CoP, we are eager to hear where the schools in our network are at, and you’re encouraged to share any of the following at our session:
* the tools and strategies you use for reading assessment
* how reading moderation happens at your school
* any resources that you have found useful
* how progression point decisions are made by teachers
Session Two will take place at Ainslie Parklands Primary School. There is ample on street parking, as well as a car park at the rear of the school via Ainslie Park Avenue.
