What really helps volunteers feel confident, supported, and able to stay?Join us for a local panel conversation, Voices from the Field: Supporting Volunteers to Succeed - as part of National Volunteer Week 2026.
In collaboration with the Busselton Dunsborough Volunteer Centre, this Busselton-based panel brings together volunteer managers, community leaders, and people with lived experience to share insights from their work and experiences in the local community.
This is a relaxed, open and conversational space, designed for learning from one another, asking questions, and strengthening our community through shared experience.
Together, we'll explore practical approaches to:
- Building strong volunteer teams
- Creating inclusive and welcoming environments
- Supporting skill development
- Navigating challenging or sensitive situations
The panel will share ideas, stories, and practical strategies you can take back and apply within your own group or organisation.
You'll hear honest perspectives, local examples, and lived experience from people working directly in our community. There will also be time for questions, reflections and discussion.
Alike WA is travelling to Busselton for this event, and we’d love you to be part of the conversation.
Whether you’re part of a grassroots group or a larger organisation, you’re warmly welcome.
There is no cost to attend, however registrations are essential to help us plan a comfortable space.
