Catholic Imagination: Jacinta Collins – Catholic Leadership
About
Jacinta Collins – Catholic Leadership in the Public SquareThe Catholic Imagination Formation Series is honoured to host Jacinta Collins, former Senator for Victoria and Executive Officer of the National Catholic Education Commission (2019–2025), whose life of service bridges Catholic education, public life, and national leadership.
Drawing on her extensive experience in Victorian and national contexts, Jacinta will reflect on the distinctive contribution of Catholic education to the common good, and what it means to exercise leadership shaped by faith within the complexity of the public square. Her witness offers rich insight into how Catholic educators, leaders, and communities might remain grounded in conviction while engaging courageously with contemporary social, political, and educational challenges.
As we journey in the footsteps of St Patrick, Jacinta invites participants to consider leadership as a form of accompaniment — attentive to context, faithful to mission, and responsive to the needs of others. Her presentation will speak especially to those discerning how Catholic identity, moral imagination, and public responsibility intersect in today’s world.
