About Time!
Thinking about visiting the Ballarat Observatory? These school holidays are a great time to visit.
With Evening Sessions, AstroKids and short film screenings there's something of interest at a time that works for you! And what joins them all - it's the thread of time.
Join an EVENING SESSION to go back in time via a tour of the historic buildings and additions from over the years, enjoy some rest time for your feet during a presentation, and finish off the night with stargazing chats with an astronomy while looking back in time through a telescope at the stars and more.
Join one of our SCREENING sessions to watch three ASTROTOUR short films.
1. Telescope
2. After Stars
3. Realising Einsteins Universe.
For those with kids aged 8-13 we reccomend an AstroKids session. You and the Kids will Learn how to tell the time with sky! You’ll hear from a local astronomer, practice your time-telling skills, make a bush clock and more. AstroKids makes for great family time.
