As part of the Marginalia: Printmaking at the Edges of Visibility Exhibition May 22nd-June 26th and Symposium May 23rd in 2026, we are pleased to present two incredible Printmaking Workshops with two of our featured Marginalia artists: Yvonne Rees-Pagh and Francesco Geronazzo.Presented in partnership by Peel Printmaking, Murray Arts and Crafts and the Printmakers Association of WA.
Yvonne Rees-Pagh is a multi-award-winning artist, curator, and art educator with a strong focus on environmental concerns in her work. She holds degrees from the University of Tasmania and Monash University, and has been recognized with prestigious awards at international exhibitions. Her art practice is characterized by a subtle and ambiguous visual language, often exploring environmental themes. Rees-Pagh's contributions to art education are evident through her lecturing roles at Claremont School of Art and the University of Tasmania. Her works are held in major collections both within Australia and overseas, reflecting her significant impact on the art world.
Dr Yvonne Rees-Pagh will present a 3 day workshop titled "Hybrid Printmaking: Redefining the boundaries of printmaking placing emphasis on experimentation and the beauty of imperfection. "
Italian born Francecso Geronazzo attended the Artistic High School, in Treviso, Italy. He completed a five-month residency as an etching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, Portugal. Francesco completed a Masters Degree in graphics from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
He has been lecturing in Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna for two years, at the Academy of fine Arts of Carrara for one year. He currently lives between Margaret River (Western Australia) where he teaches printmaking techniques at Margaret River Printmaking, and Italy, where he runs Printmaking Retreats and Symposiums at his Studio. Francesco's passion is printmaking and he loves teaching.
Francesco Geronazzo will present a 2 day Workshop titled: "From Press to Expression: Print, Voice and Place." Generating tonal effects without the use of chemicals is the aim of this 2 day class. Being able to combine the drawing side of the process (dry point) with darker areas and details (carborundum) will be the focus.
These workshops are suitable for 18+ yrs.
