Dr Gianfranco Conti - Using Extensive Processing Instruction
Dr Gianfranco Conti will explain the why and how to use EPI through a morning session which will initiate beginning EPI teachers and serve as a refresher for many - and an afternoon session focussing on structured production, effective grammar teaching, how to build fluency and how to use the Language Gym.
You can sign up for a full day, or alternatively for the morning or afternoon sessions.
Morning and Afternoon tea will be provided, but not lunch. There are many restaurants close to Telopea.
There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the sessions.

9:15 – 10:30 Introduction and Refresher- Why EPI? Developing intrinsic motivation, selecting content and MARSEAR sequencing
10:30 – 10:45 Morning tea
10:45 – 12:00 Modelling through listening & reading - demonstration of Listening-As-Modelling activities
12:00 – 12:15 Question and Answers – discussions and reflection time
12:15 - 1:00 Lunch break
1:00 - 1:15 Welcome and registration for the afternoon session!
1:15 - 2:30 Structured production and effective grammar teaching
2:30 - 2:45 Afternoon tea
2:45- 4:00 Building fluency and motivation
4:00 - 4:30 Questions and answers and how to use the Language Gym efficiently
