A1.1/2 Continuing Beginner German 2026 (Term 2)
About
Are you interested in learning German? This beginner course facilitated by German teacher Olivia is for beginner students who have very little prior knowledge of German and wish to achieve basic language skills for the purposes of communication, study, travel or enjoyment. You will learn how to use everyday expressions and simple sentences to be able to satisfy concrete needs; ask others simple questions and respond to their questions.We use Akademie Deutsch A1 series as our main textbooks. Textbooks are not included in the course fee and need to be purchased separately. The course will start in chapter 2 of the A1 book and progress to the next chapters of the A1 book.
Course book purchasing suggestions of the required book will be provided to students after enrolment.
The course fees include $300 for 10 course sessions and a one-off $60 annual membership fee.
Das Zentrum membership is a requirement for participating in courses for insurance purposes.
We need a minimum of 14 people to be able to run a class. Max number of students per class is 16.
For planning purposes and to assess minimum student numbers, please RSVP and book by 24. April 2026.
Bookings will remain open beyond this date until the course is fully booked or if it's cancelled due to insufficient numbers by the RSVP date.
This course's starting date was postponed by a week to 30. May to be able to reach minimum student numbers.
Course fees are non refundable unless the course gets cancelled.
If the teacher can't teach a session, the session will either be run by a substitute teacher or an alternative date is offered.
