2027 Transitioning to Senior School - VTP Pathway
About
Join us for our Vocational Training Pathway (VTP) Information Evening, designed for families interested in combining school-based study with real-world vocational training. Our VTP Coordinator and senior school staff will walk you through everything you need to know about this exciting and practical pathway through Year 11 and 12.We'll explain how the VTP program works, with students spending three days at school completing core subjects including English, Mathematics, Health, Business Management and Enterprise, Human Biology and Career & Employability and two days off-site gaining nationally recognised qualifications through TAFE, workplace learning, or a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship.
You'll hear about the wide range of industries and certificate qualifications available, the application and interview process, and what assessors look for in terms of attendance, academic achievement, and work readiness. We'll also cover how VET qualifications can contribute to WACE completion and, in some cases, serve as a pathway to university entry.
Our exclusive Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies, delivered in partnership with South Metropolitan TAFE, will also be highlighted as a standout option for students passionate about a career in health.
The evening will conclude with a Q&A session so all your questions can be answered.
