Navigating the transition from developer to owners corporation can be one of the most critical phases in a building’s lifecycle. This webinar, presented by Amanda Barkway and Alex Smale, will guide attendees through each key milestone, from pre-registration and post-registration of the plan, through to settlement and the crucial period between the first and second AGM. Participants will also gain clarity on establishing effective governance, including committee formation, the appointment of a strata manager, and how control shifts from the developer to the owners corporation.The session will also explore the finer details that can make or break a smooth transition, including the handover of essential documents, managing unsold lots, and understanding proxy limits. With a strong focus on the first 12 months, the webinar will unpack best practices for identifying and managing building defects, whether or not a building manager is in place, thus equipping attendees with the knowledge and confidence to support their communities through this complex and often challenging stage.
