About
Waves of Hope: Storied Theology for the Whole of LifeThis focus provides an opportunity to look at the intersection between culture and practical theology, opening up theology embodied in story and life. We warmly invite you to submit a proposal to present an academic paper or an interactive workshop or life story theological reflection. Your presence will help us dialogue with the critical questions we are exploring in our lives, our work and in our world.
What stories do we tell of God in our lives?
How do we recognise the way we anchor our understanding fo God through the lens of our individual experiences?
How do we genuinely listen to the wisdom of that in each other?
How do we keep hope alive and real?
How are we bearers of hope and influence on the challenges we face in our cultures?
With open minds, generous hearts and the God of our stories, let us join together to explore the range of theological, cultural, ethical, historical and spiritual issues associated with engaging with hope through a storied theology in the region of Oceania. All the disciplines of practical theology will be brought to bear on both an analysis of the issues and point the way to effective reflections on the practice of storytelling - emulating, celebrating and sharing hope.
