You're cordially invited!
Moira Finucane's Art vs Extinction Salon
Wednesday 22nd April
I am completely thrilled to have received a scholarship to undertake my PhD at Monash University. My topic? The Art vs Extinction Methodology: Weaponising Hope & Looking for Miracles in the Age of the Anthropocene Bold, gladiatorial, this project weights art as an equal adversary to extinctions of all kinds. Over 3 years I quest for vital visceral strategies for joy, transformation, hope and agency. I call these 'art weapons' or 'art miracles' that are instrumental in the power of art to alchemise futures bristling with justice and joy, complexity and richness. Futures we can all share. We need it now more than ever.
JUST COME & FIND OUT MORE!
Come and witness with astonishment a taste of the work I am creating, be welcomed by F&S artists with song and joy, make a krill, drink some wine, and share your wisdom, insight, passion and expertise on how and when art has a transformative power in community, in your life, in change.
Share with us, if you think our art is transformative, how? What are these key ingredients?
