The Art of Plants and Bees
About
A meandering art experience through a nature connection lens, spend time connecting to your creative self and drop into an inner noticing and responding in creative conversation with nature. Join Lara for a soul-paced painting day in the garden. Rain, hail or shine, we will embrace the energy of the weather and wander to find a pocket, a piece, a place to focus our painting efforts around and make a response to that which captures our attention. We will firstly slow down to observe and listen before responding in paint or pencil...to be in relationship with our subject, not merely reducing it to an object.Your preferred medium in painting or drawing is fine- Watercolour, acrylic, oils, gouache, pencil, charcoal or pastel. All materials and equipment for the day are the attendees responsibility to gather and bring. If you are not sure what to bring, a suggestion list will be forwarded upon request.
This workshop is open to all levels and abilities as the focus is not on the outcome, but on the journey. Having said that, expert tuition is on hand to help guide the artistic elements and work through any technical problems you might face.
-Bring all materials and equipment relevant to your medium of choice to do plein air painting, ie, plein air easel or painting board, chair, paint, medium, palette, water or medium container, brushes, pencils, sharpener, eraser, paper towel, paper/canvas/prepared board.
