The Rotary YOUTH SPEAK speech contest showcases the best young speakers in Ipswich. Be entertained and inspired by our future community leaders as they address the topic " Create Lasting Impact".Now in it's 35th year YOUTH SPEAK gives high school students a fantastic opportunity to develop and demonstrate their speaking skills in front of a live audience. Students progress through the semi final rounds on Tue 12 May to select the six (6) speakers who will compete in the Final on Tues 19 May 2026.
All contestants will receive evaluations on their performance from experinced speakers from Toastmasters International who will provide enouragement and tips on techniques to improve the students' confidence in future speeches. The first three place getters in the finals will receive cash prizes.
Your ticket price includes a light buffet style final dinner on Tue 19 May and FREE admittance to the semi-final night on 12 May.
