LitUp Presents: Dub Leffler at Wallsend Library

We are excited to announce award-winning author and illustrator Dub Leffler will be coming to Wallsend Library as part of the LitUp Program which supports live literature events across communities. Dub will be here to host a 1-hour workshop and share his creative process with our community. This is an amazing opportunity to hear from an award-winning artist who has written over 30 books, earning many shortlistings and awards along the way – including the CBCA’s Book of the Year in 2019 for Sorry Day.This is an all-ages celebration that will kick off with a performance from Aboriginal Dance group and Yidaki Group from Raymond Terrace Public School. Come along and share in Dub’s process of illustrating picture books and other cool things like reading scribbles and drawing with the right side of the brain.
Dub’s books will be available for purchase from MacLean's Booksellers and Dub will be signing copies afterwards.

AUTHOR BIO
In a career spanning 25 yrs, Bigambul man, Dub Leffler has written and illustrated over 30 books for children, held workshops in over 300 schools nationally & overseas and earnt many accolades. His art appears alongside the likes of Banksy, Shaun Tan & Quentin Blake to name a few. Celebrated universally, Dub’s illustrations have featured at The Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy, and his work is held in permanent collections around the globe including The Library of Congress in the States. Some of Dub’s current projects are - his own story, Soar due out in 2027 and his current work The Drover’s Son, written by Leah Purcell.
